Decade of Manila Concert Scene: 2009 to 2019

Manila Concert Scene, one of the biggest source of concerts and events in the Philippines, celebrates 10th year anniversary this month of December.

As promised few months ago and my personal thank you to all music fans who supported our group and the entire LIVE event industry in the Philippines, you’ll be seeing the most comprehensive list of notable concerts from international and local acts held in the Philippines from 2009 to 2019.

-May 2, 2009 – Opening of Skydome of SM City North Edsa with Charice Pempengco show

-March 2010 – Araneta Coliseum turned 50th year

-2nd Qtr of 2010: Mall of Asia Arena began constructed

-2010: SM Tickets was established

-May 21, 2012: Mall of Asia Arena opened its door with two-night Born This Way Tour: Lady Gaga concerts

-June 16, 2012: Mall of Asia Arena Grand Opening

-July 2012: Ticketnet established their Online ticketing services in partnership with ETix

-January 15, 2013: Globe Circuit Event Grounds first event

-October 25, 2013: Opening of Samsung Hall with performance of D’Sound

-May 23, 2014: Ticket selling of One Direction Live in Manila 2015 at Mall of Asia Arena. The country’s biggest single day ticket selling for a music event.

-September 1, 2015: Re-opening of New Frontier Theater.. Araneta Group entered licensing deal with Columbian Autocar Corporation, became Kia Theater

-October 24, 2015: TAPE Inc. held their historic Eat Bulaga – Sa Tamang Panahon at Philippine Arena which attended over 55,000 fans
